The Furry Brigade
The inspectors are always present, whether they are conducting a feline quality control check or judging me from the top of their perch! Since there are three of them, I am guaranteed that no project can be completed and no product can be tested without at least one of them (and often all three) being right there with me!
Cassiopée (MooMoo)
On paper, her name is Cassiopée. At first, it was Cassie. But because she "talked" non-stop, she became MewMew. Then, due to her legendary sweet tooth and her status as the biggest and plumpest of the trio, MooMoo naturally stuck a few years ago.
She is by far the smartest of the three, and she is the undisputed boss of the brigade. She can make herself understood in the blink of an eye. She carries her toy wand everywhere around the house, from the basement to the top floor, and drops it right onto our laps while staring at us with ultra-intelligent eyes. I even had to set up a bed on my desk to keep her happy, otherwise she would lay straight down on my laptop! She never hesitates to chase her sisters off our laps to take over.
Calisto (BB Mew)
Behind her gorgeous blue eyes and incredible sweetness hides the anxious one of the brigade. Named Calisto, she quickly became Callie and finally BB Mew, because of her baby-like ways and her small size compared to her sister. She startles at the slightest noise, is wary of absolutely everything, and moves on true velvet paws. Fortunately, when she feels a bit lost and lets out a meow, her sister MooMoo rushes over immediately to reassure her and take care of her.
Her ultimate passion is my son, Max. She has deeply bonded with him and follows him everywhere like his shadow. During the day, she patiently waits for him on his bed. But the most fascinating thing is her magical antenna: every day, exactly 10 minutes before Max gets home from work, she sits at the top of the stairs to watch for his return. Even though she is the least playful of the trio, she has her little moments of pure madness. When the zoomies hit, she transforms into a total ninja and literally jumps off the walls! With her ultra-fearful and observant nature, the role of critic fits her perfectly. She is our compliance expert: if she has the slightest doubt about the sturdiness or stability of one of my shelves, she will never hesitate to let me know!
Mimi
Mimi is a beautiful, long-haired white domestic cat with stunning odd-colored eyes (one blue and one green). Although she is the oldest of the three, she arrived two years after the two sisters. She is our little miracle: I saved her from euthanasia by driving six hours to rescue her right when her previous owner was about to make a terrible mistake. Naturally incredibly chill, she never gets upset and gets along with everyone.
Her purr motor is so loud it can be heard all the way to Mars, and her unique meow sounds more like a tiny, raspy chirp. Even though the two sisters sometimes give her a hard time—BB Mew projecting her anxiety onto her and MooMoo pushing her aside to steal all the cuddles—Mimi knows how to stand her ground when it matters. She is so crazy about Catit Creamy treats that they give her a sudden burst of bravery, making her completely willing to face off against the boss MooMoo to get her fair share! Since she spends her time scratching everything in sight, she is by far the most qualified to test the durability of our materials. With her around, we know very quickly whether a fabric or carpet is fragile!
